This sophisticated tabletop is made of Narra (Pterocarpus indicus – the Philippian variant of teak). Narra usually has a delicate grain and is an elegant wood with colours ranging from pale yellow/orange (as in this example) to dark red. Narra tabletops are about 5 cm thick (by contrast with acacia tops that can range from between c. 8 and 10 cm in thickness) and have an average width of 80 to 90 cm. The metal base forms a striking contrast and is my standard frame that is made to measure so it is the required size and height. It is made of 4 x 4 cm profile tubes with an oiled surface (the frame can also be painted or powder-coated). Other bases can of course be provided.
