This huge table is a key feature in the entrance hall at Design Hotel Daniel in Graz and consists of a single (!) piece of Narra (Philippian variant of teak). It measures circa 410 x 105 x 6 cm (length / width / thickness) and to date it is the largest tabletop I have ever acquired, providing maximum possibilities! The primary “problem” posed by these tabletops is the width as this had to be the same along the entire length (the exceptions are the “freeform” tabletops that are not cut around the edges and therefore follow the natural outer form of the wooden trunk). The maximum width of wooden tabletops is about one metre, depending to a certain extent on the type of wood.
